  • Not at this time.

  • Most people I have worked with do reach full recovery following their CBT treatment. In cases where patients finish therapy and have not reached full recovery, they still typically notice significant symptom reduction.

  • Both CBT and counselling are forms of talking therapies.

CBT, is more of a “doing therapy”. It involves following a certain set of steps - based on specialist interventions - specifically designed (and proven scientifically) to help people recover from anxiety disorders and depression.

Whereas, counselling involves a patient spending the majority of their session talking about their problem and feelings. The counsellors primary role is to listen and ask questions. Counselling can be very helpful if you have experienced a difficult life event and what you need is mostly, just to talk it through and feel heard and validated. Counselling is not recommended for anxiety disorders.

Please note: I do not offer counselling therapy. I offer CBT.

  • Yes, as long as you are able to speak English, well enough, to engage in the session.

  • No.

The reasons I do not offer Face to Face Therapy are because:

I can help more people, with the time saved through not having to travel to a location.

Furthermore, research has found Virtual CBT Therapy to be equally as effective, as Face To Face CBT Therapy.

In fact, recent research has even found Virtual CBT Therapy to be more effective than Face To Face CBT therapy, in some cases.

Virtual CBT Therapy also has the added benefits of:

enabling you to have your therapy sessions in the comfort of your own home.

    no travel costs.

    no travel time.

more flexibility to fit your sessions around other commitments in your life, e.g. possibly not needing to find childcare.

    May be more convenient.

May be easier to access, if you have a disability or mobility difficulty.

Easy access to CBT therapy, regardless of your geographical location.
